Object of the Game
The game involves unscrambling 8 or 16 bars of original music in up to four-part harmony
First, select a "Mini-Opus" (short musical composition) from the drop-down list in the upper right corner
Next, choose a game level from the drop-down list in the upper right corner and click "Load New Game." There are the ten levels of play:
Level 1 -
8 bars /
melody only
Level 2 -
16 bars /
melody only
Level 3 -
8 bars /
2-part harmony
Level 4 -
16 bars /
2-part harmony
Level 5 -
8 bars /
3-part harmony
Level 6 -
16 bars /

Level 7 -

Level 8 -

Level 9 -

Level 10 -

Levels 1 & 2 have a melody line only and the bars are scrambled within the melody line
In levels 3 thru 8 each line of melody or harmony is scrambled within its own line
In levels 9 & 10 the four parts are mixed, that is, scrambled across all four lines
The lines of blocks are labelled S (soprano), A (alto), T (tenor), B (bass), M (mixed - levels 9 & 10)
Click the "Play All" button to hear the entire Mini-Opus
Click on a block in the upper container to play that block's bar (measure) of music
Now click on the block in the lower container that is the correct position for the upper block you just played
The upper block you click will turn red
If you make a match, the lower block you selected will change to whatever the upper block was
After you make a match, the upper block you selected will turn black
When the game is finished all upper blocks will be black
Any of the lower blocks that have been matched can be clicked to play that block's bar of music

Scoring
The lower your final score, the better
It is possible to make a perfect score, for example, a score of 8 would be a perfect score for Level 1
Your score is determined by how many times you click on a black block in the lower container
You may "Play All" and play any non-black blocks in either container as many times as you like without affecting the score
